The 5th InterLynk General Assembly took place on Friday, July 14th, 2023, at the premises of our partner institution, Maastricht University. The gathering brought together researchers from the InterLynk consortium, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange. For those unable to attend in person, online participation was made available.

The assembly began in the morning with InterLynk Coordinator, Prof. João Mano, setting the tone for the remaining project duration, which has just under half of its timeline remaining. Prof. Mano highlighted the crucial areas of focus during his opening remarks. The meeting then progressed with research updates presented by the various partners, followed by engaging discussions, where participants offered suggestions, ideas, and potential future directions.

The communication team introduced new materials that will soon be accessible to the public through the InterLynk website. These materials include a synthetic factsheet and project presentation, aiming to enhance public awareness and understanding of InterLynk's groundbreaking work.

In the afternoon, the scientific community gathered in breakout sessions, allowing for more in-depth discussions and exploration of specific research tasks. These sessions provided a valuable platform for researchers to delve into the intricacies of their respective areas of expertise and share insights and challenges.

The assembly concluded with a clear roadmap for the future ahead. An announcement regarding the forthcoming 6th General Assembly generated excitement among the participants. Scheduled for January 2023 in the enchanting city of Trieste, this event will further advance the consortium's objectives and leverage the valuable insights and collaborations fostered during the previous gatherings.
