From EnvisionTEC, the Desktop Health brand was founded in 2021 to produce high-quality dental and medical 3D printing for personalized patient care.
The 3D printing technology relevant for the InterLynk project is the 3D-Bioplotter, which has been marketed since its launch in 2000, and has since been in continuous development.
Wherever needed, EnvisionTEC with the brand Desktop Health will increase the functionality of the 3D-Bioplotter to be able to process the materials developed under the project into the required shapes, as well as to successfully print the multi-material scaffolds.

Carlos Carvalho
Carlos Carvalho is team leader at the Bioprinting Department of EnvisionTEC. He holds a PhD degree in Chemistry and is a leading expert in the use and development of the 3DBioplotter technology as a translational tool for advanced research, as well as manufacturing devices for commercial purposes. Carvalho authored 11 papers in scientific journals.
