Promoscience
Promoscience is an SME spin-off of SISSA–International School of Advanced Studies in Trieste, Italy. It was founded in 2004 by a team of researchers specialised in exploring the requirements of the scientific community, perfecting knowledge transmission strategies and developing adapted content management systems. The company develops innovative web-based softwares for sharing objectives, managing projects and spreading results among the scientific communities. It merges innovative thinking and highly creative design competences with fundamental skills and techniques of science communication, to provide original branding strategies to research projects. It also has a remarkable experience in information architecture design, as well as in creating attractive and user-friendly web portals. Promoscience has a solid experience in the implementation of effective communication, dissemination and exploitation plans in the framework of cooperative R&D projects at the international level, and has provided its know-how, services and tools in a considerable number of projects within FP6, FP7, and H2020 framework programs.
Riccardo Brancaleon
Riccardo Brancaleon is Managing Director of Promoscience. He is an electronic engineer specialized in Clinical Engineering. He has experience in the development of ICT tools for scientific and IP document management, in the design and development of innovative information architectures and systems for science communication, the management of technology transfer and R&D programmes, business intelligence analyses and data visualization.
Sabine Kienzl
Sabine Kienzl is an anthropologist with a strong background in the social sciences, holding degrees from the University of Vienna, Georgetown University (U.S.), and the London School of Economics, where she began her PhD before transitioning into the dynamic field of science communication. Since joining Promoscience in March 2021, Sabine has been leveraging her interdisciplinary expertise to contribute to innovative science communication initiatives.
